thejoshlovell: I made my own blog. So instead of just having the Bloodlust one to only post stuff with bands, or the alovellyday one which seems to have kinda died away I’ll use this most of the time. So we’ll see how this goes. I’ll prob post stuff about tour and whatnot and just random stuff i like. Right now I’m sitting in an airport in Adelaide, Australia listening to Elvis and waiting to fly to Perth for the last day of the Soundwave Festival tomorrow.

a really crappy situation turned out pretty awesome. thanks again for everyone that came to the show. we’ll come back to philly soon and play a real show.

9/4/09 - Four Year Strong played the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia. During their set someone decides to set off a fire extinguisher into the crowd. The show stops, the venue is evacuated. 30-40 minutes later the show goes on, the band finishes their set.

Fast forward to last night, 1/14/10 - Four Year Strong played the First Unitarian Church again. During their set someone pulls the fire alarm. The show stops, kids chant “we won’t go, we won’t go,” the venue is evacuated. 45 minutes later, after waiting in the cold, the band announces that the fire department will not let the band go on. Dan and Alan lead a bunch of kids to a nearby park to perform 4 or so acoustic songs. Above is the video of “Heroes Get Remembered, Legends Never Die”.

Probably one of my favorite FYS moments to date.
